Pile Brackets & Rollers
Pile Brackets- Words of Wisdom:
After 20 years in the dock building business, we have a saying around here which if often repeated-- "Your dock is only as strong as your weakest piling bracket". With that in mind, we offer a variety of brackets for your consideration, and generally recommend our HD aluminum brackets as a top-of-the-line solution. These brackets come in a variety of sizes and can be customized to meet your specific needs. Our latest aluminum brackets offer open ends to allow for the installation of our HD Dock Wheel.
We also offer a line of prefabricated HDG steel brackets and hoops. When choosing a bracket, always measure each of your piling in multiple places, starting at the lowest point and continuing up to the highest you can reach. Remember, these brackets do not bend or stretch, and as your dock travels in high and low water, too-narrow brackets can chafe or bind, while too-large brackets allow energy to build in the system, effectively slamming your dock against the brackets while worsening instability.
We recommend ordering 2" larger than the widest measurement of your piling, and always avoid a metal-on-metal approach, which creates excessive noise and reduces longevity of the materials.
For the easiest maintenance, try our HD Aluminum Pile Brackets with UHMW rub blocks. Unlike rollers, these blocks have no moving parts & no axles to worry about sizing correctly. Blocks bold in and can be easily removed when ready to be replaced. Blocks can also be doubled up to create a tighter fit when needed, or blocked down to allow additional movement. Have questions?
